Virtual Ostomy 5k - Worldwide

🎉 Celebrate UOAA’s 20th Anniversary

Join the movement! On Saturday, October 4, 2025, let’s celebrate World Ostomy Day by participating in the Virtual Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k. This marks the 11th year of our empowering Virtual 5k event as well as United Ostomy Associations of America’s 20th Anniversary!

Complete the 5k your way—walk, run, roll, swim, pedal, or even count your steps on the journey leading up to the big day. Whether outdoors or on a treadmill at home, the choice is yours to celebrate resilience and unity in the ostomy community.

Gather your friends, family, colleagues, or fellow ASG members to honor this milestone together. Every step you take helps support UOAA’s vital mission. As a 501(c)(3) charity organization, your generous donations are tax deductible.

🌍 Registration Details

• Registration Fee: $30.00 includes a unisex adult or youth size T-Shirt and Bib.
• Early Bird Pricing: Save $5.00 when you register by July 25th!

🤝 Create or Join a Race Group/Team

Once you’ve registered you also have the option to CREATE a new RACE GROUP/TEAM or to JOIN one that’s already been established. This is a great way to get others in your community to Register to Participate in the Run and compete against each other. Invite family, friends, co-workers to Register, join your Race Group/Team (or start their own), order their T-Shirt & Bib and celebrate the day with you! (Please note this is NOT a Team Fundraiser. To set up a Personal or Team Fundraiser, please go to the DONATE button.)

💰 Fundraising Opportunities

Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K. Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.

• Fundraising Level: Raise $125 or more and your Registration Fee will be refunded!
• Personal or Team Fundraiser: Set up your own Fundraiser when registering or through our DONATE button.
• Fundraising Incentives: Your commitment to fundraise and support the ostomy and continent diversion community is no small endeavor.

🏆 Fundraising Incentives Details

• Empower Level: $225+ in fundraising individually or as a Team Captain.
• Champion Level: $425+ in fundraising individually or as a Team Captain.

United Ostomy Associations of America (UOAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports, empowers and advocates for the estimated 725,000 to 1 Million people who are living with an ostomy or continent diversion across the country. Your generous donation helps us to raise awareness of this life-saving surgery and to continue our mission of promoting their quality of life through information, support, advocacy and collaboration. 🔗 Run Referral Program

Invite 5 other people to register and participate in the Run with you and you will be refunded $20 on YOUR registration! Simply share your unique referral link found on your registration confirmation page (email). The referral program is valid for all in-person run locations and the virtual event so even if they cannot join you where you are, they can still celebrate from afar!

• Choose your route: Run, walk, roll or pedal a 5k (3.1 miles) route of your choice near you.
• Share your success: Take pictures of yourself doing your virtual race and email them to us or tag us on Facebook or Instagram.
• Promote awareness: Post your experience to both UOAA's Facebook page and the Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k Facebook page!
• Use hashtags: #RunforResilience, #WorldOstomyDay, and #OstomyAwareness.
