🎉 Celebrate UOAA’s 20th Anniversary with Us on World Ostomy Day!

Join the movement! On Saturday, October 4, 2025, let’s celebrate World Ostomy Day by participating in the Virtual Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k. This marks the 11th year of our empowering Virtual 5k event as well as United Ostomy Associations of America’s 20th Anniversary!

Complete the 5k your way—walk, run, roll, swim, pedal, or even count your steps on the journey leading up to the big day. Whether outdoors or on a treadmill at home, the choice is yours to celebrate resilience and unity in the ostomy community.

Gather your friends, family, colleagues, or fellow ASG members to honor this milestone together. Every step you take helps support UOAA’s vital mission. As a 501(c)(3) charity organization, your generous donations are tax deductible.

🕒 Don’t Delay, Register Today!

We cannot guarantee size and availability of the 2025 World Ostomy Day & Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k T-shirts after Wednesday, September 4th!

• Registration Includes: a unisex adult or youth size T-Shirt and Bib.
• Bib-Only Registrations: Those who register before Noon on Friday, September 26th will receive their 2025 World Ostomy Day & Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k bib in the mail (USPS).
• Late Registrations: If you register after this time, your Bib will be e-mailed to you.

👥 Create or Join a Race Group/Team!

Once you’ve registered you also have the option to CREATE a new RACE GROUP/TEAM or to JOIN one that’s already been established. This is a great way to get others in your community to Register to Participate in the Run and compete against each other. Invite family, friends, co-workers to Register, join your Race Group/Team (or start their own), order their T-Shirt & Bib and celebrate the day with you!

💰 Fundraising:

Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K. Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.

• Personal Fundraiser: Set up your own Personal or Team Fundraiser when registering to participate in the event.
• Direct Donations: Through our DONATE button at the top of this page.
• Create Fundraiser Name: Personalize your fundraising message and direct your friends and family to your page.

Your commitment to fundraise and support the ostomy and continent diversion community is no small endeavor, and we appreciate your dedication and hard work.

• Empower Level: Fundraise $225+ individually or as a Team Captain.
• Champion Level: Fundraise $425+ individually or as a Team Captain.
• Combined Awards: Champion fundraisers will also receive the Empower level fundraising award.

United Ostomy Associations of America (UOAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports, empowers and advocates for the estimated 725,000 to 1 Million people who are living with an ostomy or continent diversion across the country. Your generous donation helps us to raise awareness of this life-saving surgery and to continue our mission of promoting their quality of life through information, support, advocacy and collaboration. 📣 Run Referral Program

Invite 5 other people to register and participate in the Run with you and you will be refunded $20 on YOUR registration! Simply share your unique referral link found on your registration confirmation page (email) “Remember to invite your friends with your special URL https:// ...” The referral program is valid for all in-person run locations and the virtual event so even if they cannot join you where you are, they can still celebrate from afar!

• Run or Walk: Run, walk, roll or pedal a 5k (3.1 miles) route of your choice near you.
• Share Success: Take pictures of yourself doing your virtual race and email them to us or tag us on Facebook or Instagram.
• Promote Awareness: Share your experience on both UOAA's Facebook page and the Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k Facebook page!
• Hashtags: Use #RunforResilience, #WorldOstomyDay and #OstomyAwareness for a chance to be featured on UOAA’s social media.
