Miles for Mammos 5k Run

🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

Join us in supporting Julie’s Pink Warrior Project at the JOSC race series bonus race, the Miles for Mammos 5k on Saturday, October 18, 2025!

🎗️ Mission

• Purpose: Julie's Pink Warrior Project provides free screening mammograms to the uninsured and underinsured in our community.
• Funding: Money raised from this race goes directly to funding those free mammograms.

🏁 Race Details

• Start Time: This flat, fast race kicks off at 9am after an energizing warmup.
• Accessibility: This course is perfect for walkers and runners of all ages and abilities and is stroller friendly!
• Hydration: Around the halfway point is a water station to hydrate you as you make your way to the finish line.
• Celebration: Coming up the final stretch you will be greeted by cheers from spectators and fellow runners.

🎖️ Post-Race and Medals

• Finisher's Medal: You’ll receive a finishers medal after crossing the finish line.
• Refueling: Be able to refuel with the delicious post race snacks!
• Photo Op: Don’t forget to take a celebratory photo and tag us in it!

💲 Participation Fees

This year's Miles for Mammos 5k will be held on Oct 18, 2025, at 9am, at the Jacksonville Commons Rec Center. Prices are as follows:

• 5K Entry: $35 until Oct 1, 2025, then $40 from Oct 1 thru 18, 2024.
• Kids 5 & under: Free (no shirt/medal).
• Virtual Run: $30 (includes medal).
• Discounted Fee: Employees and family members receive a discounted entry fee: $25 for 5K.

🏅 Proceeds and Impact

All proceeds from our Miles for Mammos 5K benefit Julie’s Pink Warrior Project, which provides free screening mammograms to individuals in Onslow County that are underinsured or uninsured.
