Magic of the Mile

Event Overview

• Date: July 9, 2026
• Location: 2300 Plymouth Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI
• Time: Track opens at 5:00 PM
• Registration: Available online and onsite (cash, check, or credit card)

Race Registration Details

• Youth Participants: FREE for those under 18 on race day
• RunGR Members: $10 if registered by June 14, 2026
• Adult Community Members: $15 if registered by June 14, 2026
• All Adult Registrants: $20 between June 15 and July 8, 2026

Awards

• Youth Events: Popsicles at the finish!
• Age Group Awards: Competitors can win awards in various age categories
• RRCA Awards: Top male and female runners in open and elite heats
• Post-Event: Awards given out after the men's elite heat

How It Works

• High School Track Meet: The event will follow a similar format
• Start Times: Approximate: announced by the emcee
• Heat Registration: Register according to projected finish time
• Pacing: One designated pacer for each open event

Race Day Schedule

• Track Opens: 5:00 PM for warm-ups
• Kids Warm Up: 5:30 PM with Coach Woj
• Kids Fun Runs: 200 meter at 6:00 PM: 400 meter afterwards
• No Pressure Mile: Designed for various pacing groups
