Reading Hospital Road Run

Race Overview

The 2026 Reading Hospital Road Run, hosted by The Friends of Reading Hospital, will include our standard in-person event distances of 1/2 marathon and 5K races and 1 mile fun walk/run to be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026. The deadline to get a guaranteed shirt is September 15, 2026.

Registration Details

• Loyalty Registration: Open from November 1 - December 31, 2025, for past participants.
• General Registration: Opens on January 1, 2026.
• Best Pricing: Must have registered using the same RunSignup account for early registration.
• Guaranteed Shirt: Register by September 15, 2026.

Race Day Events

• 1/2 Marathon: Starts at 8:00 AM.
• 5K: Starts at 8:05 AM.
• Course Description: Starts and finishes in front of the iconic clock tower, looping around the park and neighborhoods south of the hospital campus.
• Awards: Given to the top three male and female finishers overall and in various age groups for both races.

Awards and Pacers

• 5K Awards: Top three male and female finishers, plus age group awards.
• 1/2 Marathon Awards: Top three male and female finishers, plus age group awards.
• Pacers: Available for the half marathon. More information can be found at this link.
• Shirt Details: All participants will receive a short-sleeve wicking race shirt (must register by September 15th to be guaranteed your size).

1 Mile Fun Walk/Run

• Start Time: 10:30 AM.
• Location: Starts on Spruce Street at 6th in front of the clock tower.
• Finish: On 6th directly in front of the clock tower at the hospital.
• Event Type: This is an untimed event.
