About this race
Race Information
Lace up those shoes, and join us August 8, 2026 for the 49th running of the Schweizer Fest 2 & 6 Mile Road Run. We feature 2 race distances, both of which go through Tell City's historic downtown area, the heart of Schweizer Fest. Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center is excited to host this event, which is open to runners and walkers of all skill levels. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group and gender. A special award will be given to the top male and female in each of the races. This years awards breakdown is based on 5 year age groups.
Course Details
- 2 Mile Course: A fast, flat route in the downtown area.
- 6 Mile Route: Takes you through downtown before heading to Mozart Street.
- Hill Climb: A 1 mile, 200 foot vertical hill with minor grade breaks.
- Finish Line: Descend on Tell Street, followed by a Main Street finish.
Race Schedule
- Start Times: The 6 mile run begins at 8:00 a.m. and the 2 mile event starts 5 minutes later.
- Starting Location: Both races start on 7th Street near Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center.

KIDS FUN RUN
- Timing: At 9:15 a.m., a two block (.25mi) fun run for kids 7 years old and under.
- Starting Location: Begins at Frostop on Main Street.
- Finish Line: Finishes under the balloon near City Hall.
- Participation: All KIDS FUN RUN participants receive a racing bib and ribbon, and it’s free!
