Spring Into Wellness Fun Run/Walk - Clarkson College

Event Overview

• Organizer: The Clarkson College Student Physical Therapist Assistant Association is hosting an annual fun run/walk.
• Activities: Participants complete either a 1-mile walk or a 5K run/walk (3.1 miles).
• Purpose: We host this event every year to build community relations while promoting health and wellness.
• Goal: It provides a great opportunity to bring community members and future health care professionals together!

• Support: Proceeds support the Clarkson College Student Physical Therapist Assistant Association.

Details

Registrations

• Fee: $30.00 for 13 years old & up (includes $27.50 registration + $2.50 processing fee).
• Kids: Kids 12 yrs & under can participate for FREE but registration is still required through the sign-up options.

Registration Deadlines

• Guarantee: Register by March 1st to guarantee a t-shirt! Registrations after March 1st will receive a shirt on a first-come first-serve basis during Race Day Check In.
• Online: Accepting online registrations through 8:00am on the date of the event.

Location

• Start Point: The race will start near Field Club Trail at 39th and Marcy St, Omaha, Nebraska 68105. *Do not enter "Field Club Trail" in your GPS, it will likely take you to the wrong address.
• Directions: From I80 and 42nd St: head North to Marcy St, turn Right to head East for 3 blocks.
• Alternate Route: From 42nd and Dodge: head South to Leavenworth St, turn left (East) to 39th St, turn right (South) to Marcy St, turn right (West).

Race Route

• Path: Participants will head South along the Field Club Trail and turn-around at marked points for each event along the trail.

Parking

• Options: Participants may use the UNMC parking lot (available on weekends) which is located just West of the trail or street parking along Marcy St.

Check-in

• Packet Pickup: Pick up your race packet and t-shirt between 8:00-8:30 at the event.

Timeline

• 8-8:30: Check-in and packet pick-up.
• 8:25: Abby Olberding Makovicka PTA Scholarship Announcement.
• 8:30: Race begins.
• 9:20: Raffle drawings.
• 10:00: Race ends.

Raffle

• Prize: Win a 1-year free membership to the YMCA among other prizes!
• Tickets: Raffle tickets may be purchased by donating during the registration payment or with cash at the event. Must be present to win.
• Costs: $5 per 1 ticket.

Bathrooms

• Availability: Not available on-site - suggestions include QuikTrip on 715 S Saddlecreek Rd or QuikTrip on 4720 Hamilton St.
