❓ What is the Heat the Streets Run & Walk for Warmth?

• Participation Options: Register for a timed 5K run, timed 10K run, or untimed two-mile walk.
• Virtual Option: A virtual option is available if you're unable to join us in person.

🤝 Why Do We Do It?

• Community Support: Proceeds benefit local utility assistance programs to help friends, family, and neighbors in need.
• Year-Round Need: The event highlights the ongoing struggle to pay utility bills, especially in winter months.
• Fund Distribution: Funds are administered by Dollar Energy Fund, Inc. and split between M.U.D.’s Home Fund and OPPD’s Energy Assistance Program.
• Mission Statement: Dollar Energy Fund's mission is to improve the quality of life for households experiencing hardships.

📅 What Are the Details?

• Event Date: Participants will gather on Saturday, March 7 in Aksarben Village.
• Event Schedule: Timed events (5K and 10K) begin at 9 a.m.: the untimed 2-mile walk starts at 9:15 a.m.
• Awards: Awards will be given to the 1st place overall male and female in the 5K and 10K.
• Virtual Participants: Complete your distance on March 7 in your neighborhood or gym—no swag or awards for virtual participants.
