🏃‍♂️ What is the Heat the Streets Run & Walk for Warmth?

• Opportunity: Participants can register for a timed 5K run, timed 10K run or untimed two-mile walk.
• Virtual Option: We also offer a virtual option if you're unable to join us in person.

❤️ Why Do We Do It?

• Community Support: Proceeds benefit local utility assistance programs to help friends, family, and neighbors pay their utility bills.
• Year-Round Need: Utility assistance is vital throughout the year, especially in cold winter months.
• Fund Administration: Funds raised are administered by Dollar Energy Fund, Inc..
• Service Areas: Assistance is provided to customers living in various counties including Burt, Cass, Douglas, and more.

📅 What Are the Details?

• Date & Location: Participants will gather Saturday, March 1 in Aksarben Village.
• Start Times: Timed events (5K and 10K) at 9 a.m.: untimed 2-mile walk starts at 9:15 a.m.
• Time Limit: Participants in the 10K and 5K should aim to finish by 10:30 a.m. (1.5-hour time limit).
• Awards: Awards for 1st place overall male and female in both 5K and 10K. Age group awards for timed events.

💵 How Much Does It Cost?

• Timed 10K: $35 (Black Friday through January 31), $45 (February 1 - February 26), $55 (Day-of registration).
• Timed 5K: $30 (Black Friday through January 31), $40 (February 1 - February 26), $50 (Day-of registration).
• Untimed 2-Mile Walk: $25 (Black Friday through January 31), $30 (February 1 - February 26), $40 (Day-of registration).
• Virtual Option: $30 (Black Friday through March 1).
