This is the 8th annual Bull Run for ALS of Michigan held at Kensington Park in Milford, Michigan. The Bull Run 5K is a chip timed accurate 5k run/walk. The Calf Mile is FREE for kids 10yrs and under. All proceeds go to ALS of Michigan to help our pALS (people with ALS) here in Michigan.

There is a lot of symbolism in The Bull Run:

• Name Significance: The Bull Run is named in honor of Kenneth C. VanBlaricum, who passed from ALS in Feb. 2010 and was nicknamed "Bull".
• Finisher Medal: The medal is a dog tag honoring Kenneth's service in the National Guard during the 1967 Detroit riots.
• Course Details: The start/finish line is on the ball diamond, running by first base (played by Lou Gehrig) and finishing at home plate.
• Meaningful Event: This run continues to be a dream to honor Kenneth. Thank you for being a part of it.

Race DETAILS:

• Pricing: 5k run/walk $35 until 9/06, $37 9/07 to 9/26, $40 race day. Calf Mile is FREE for ages 10 and under. Online registration only.
• Race Swag: Finishers medal included, performance tee available as an add on through September 6th. Tees not available after that date.
• Course: The 5K course has some hills and is an out and back on a paved pathway starting at Martindale Beach and running to the Milford connector circle.
• Early Packet Pick-Up:
  • Wednesday 9/23, from 5-7:30 PM @ Captain's on Main, 423 W. Main Street, Brighton, 48116
  • Friday 9/25, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM @ Running Lab Brighton, 409 W. Main St., Brighton, MI 48116
• Race Day Packet Pick-Up: Starts at 7:00 AM.

No fee to participate!

Awards:

• First Place: $100 to overall male and female winners.
• Second Place: $50 to overall male and female runners.
• Third Place: $25 to overall male and female finishers.

Results:

Results will be live during the event and full results will be posted on this Run Signup page. The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
