This is the Seventh annual Bull Run for ALS of Michigan held at Kensington Park in Milford, Michigan. The Bull Run 5K is a chip timed accurate 5k run/walk. The Calf Mile is FREE for kids 10yrs and under. All proceeds go to ALS of Michigan to help our pALS (people with ALS) here in Michigan.

There is a lot of symbolism in The Bull Run.

• Name Origin: The Bull Run is named in honor of my father, Kenneth C. VanBlaricum, who passed from ALS in Feb. 2010 and was nicknamed “Bull” from his days in excavating.
• Finishers Medal: The medal is a dog tag honoring my father's service in the National Guard during the 1967 Detroit riots.
• Start/Finish Line: You will run by first base, which is the position played by Lou Gehrig, and cross home plate to finish.
• Personal Tribute: This run honors my father and is a dream come true.

📅 Race DETAILS:

• Pricing: 5k run/walk $35 until 9/07, $37 9/08 to 9/27, $40 race day. Calf Mile is FREE for ages 10 and under. Online registration only.
• Race Swag: Finishers medal is included with registration. Performance tee is available as an add-on through September 7th: not available for purchase after that date.
• Course: The 5K course has some hills and is an out and back on a paved pathway starting at Martindale Beach/Water Park, running out to the Milford connector circle and back.
• Early Packet Pick-Up: Friday 9/26/24, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Running Lab Brighton, 409 W. Main St., Brighton, MI 48116.

🏁 Race Day Schedule:

• Location: Kensington Metro Park, North Martindale Beach.
• 5K Run: 7:00 a.m. Packet Pick-Up | 8:30 a.m. Run.
• Calf (1/2) Mile Fun Run: For Kids 10 and under - 7:30 a.m. Check-in | 8:00 a.m. Run. No fee to participate!

Results will be live during the event, and full results will be posted on this Run Signup page. The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
