🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Event: Join us for the annual Tri-State Warrior Run/Walk, 5k, 10k & HALF MARATHON! New to the 2025 race...the Bob Scott Memorial Kids Fun Run!
• Beneficiary: This wonderful family event benefits the Tri-State Warrior Outreach, supporting unmet needs of area Veterans and their families since 2012.
• Starting Point: The 1 Mile Walk, 5k, 10k and Half Marathon start and end on the historic grounds of the IL Veterans Home, built in 1886.
• Experience: Participants will see extraordinary architecture, peaceful woods, Deer Park, US Military memorials, and go past the inspirational Avenue of Flags.

🏅 Race Details

• Course: The 5k, 10K and Half Marathon challenge runners along hills through Sunset Cemetery and the Medal of Honor Memorial.
• Finish Line: All events finish back at the Start/Finish line behind the Administration building.
• Medals: Traditional dog tag-style medals will be given to all event finishers.
• New Event: Inaugural Bob Scott Memorial Kids Fun Run for ages 10 and under with registration of $10/kid which includes a medal.

🌐 Virtual Options

• Virtual Participation: Options for 5K, 10K & Half Marathon are available from 6 am on 10/26/25 through 11:30 pm on 11/02/25.
• Swag: Virtual runners will receive a shirt and medal if registered by 10/17/25.
• Timing: Chip timing will be available for the event, but expect the possibility of delays due to train crossings.
• Course Maps: See all running routes and our 1-mile walk on our Facebook pages for the Tri-State Warrior Outreach and Tri State Warrior Run.

🌦️ Weather Considerations

• Forecast: Late October weather in West Central IL can range from the mild 50s-60s to cold 20s & 30s.
• Preparation: Watch local weather for expectations during race week!
• Running Environment: Regardless of temperature, it’s always a beautiful day to run at Mays Park and the historic IL Vet's Home.
• Venue: The IL Vet's Home is the oldest in the U.S. and well worth the visit!

📆 Registration Information

• Shirt Sizes: Guaranteed with online registration by Friday 10/17/25.
• Registration Deadline: Online Registration ends at midnight Thursday 10/23/25.
• Packet Pickup: Available on Saturday 10/25/25 at Running Wild 3502 Broadway from 11 am-4 pm.
• No Race Day Registration: Remaining packets can be picked up at the race start line beginning at 7:15 am.

⏰ Event Schedule

• Race Start: Participants will line up for the start at 7:45 am.
• Start Times: Events begin at 8:00 am with the Half Marathon, 10k, 5k and all walkers.
• Kids Fun Run: Starts at 9:00 am at the designated start line per age group.
• Awards: 5K at 8:45 am, 10K at 9:30 am, and Half Marathon at 10:15 am.

• Additional Parking: Available by the Administration Building off the 12th St entrance and south of the main drive.
• Parking Notice: Please do not park on the Veteran's Home roads.
