Event Overview

Join us for the annual Tri-State Warrior Run/Walk, 5k, 10k & HALF MARATHON! New to the 2025 race...the Bob Scott Memorial Kids Fun Run!

Come join us for this wonderful family event that benefits the Tri-State Warrior Outreach, supporting unmet needs of area Veterans and their families since 2012.

Race Details

• Location: 1707 N 12th St, Quincy, IL
• Date: 2026-10-25
• Start/Finish: Historic grounds of the IL Veterans Home, built in 1886.
• Details: Participants will see extraordinary architecture, peaceful woods, Deer Park, US Military memorials, and the Avenue of Flags.

Course Information

• Challenges: The 5k, 10K, and Half Marathon challenge runners along hills through Sunset Cemetery and the Medal of Honor Memorial.
• Loop: Finish back at the Start/Finish line behind the Administration building.
• Medals: Traditional dog tag-style medals are given to all event finishers.
• Chip Timing: Be advised that routes cross RR tracks, so expect possible delays.

Kids Fun Run

• Inaugural Event: Bob Scott Memorial Kids Fun Run for ages 10 and under.
• Registration Fee: $10/kid includes a medal.
• Run Distances: 5 and under - 100 meter run: 6 and older - 200 meter run.
• Medals: All participants will receive a medal.

Virtual Options

• Availability: Virtual submissions may begin at 6am on 10/26/25 through 11:30pm 11/02/25.
• Incentives: Virtual runners will receive a shirt and medal if registered by 10/17/25.

Weather & Attire

• Conditions: Late October weather in West Central IL can vary greatly, so check local forecasts.
• Historic Venue: It's always a beautiful day to run at Mays Park and the historic IL Vet's Home.
• Shirt Sizes: Guaranteed only with online registration by Friday 10/17/25.

Registration Details

• Online Registration: Ends at midnight Thursday 10/23/25.
• Packet Pickup: Saturday 10/25/25 from 11am-3pm at Running Wild, and at the race start line from 7:15am.
• Race Day Registration: Available on-site starting at 7:15am for an additional $5 fee per race.

Race Start Information

• Participant Line-up: Line up for the start at 7:45am.
• Start Times: Events begin at 8:00am with Half Marathon, 10k, 5k, and all walkers.
• Kids Fun Run: Starts at 9:00am at the designated start line per age group.

Awards

• Award Times: 5K awards at 8:45am, 10K at 9:30am, Half Marathon at 10:15am.
• Course Time Limit: All events are subject to a 3-hour limit.

Parking Information

• Additional Parking: Available by the Administration Building off the 12th St entrance.
• Restrictions: Please do not park on the Veteran's Home roads.
