🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

North American Canicross presents STEEPLECHASE STAMPEDE! Come join us October 5th at the Georgia International Horse Park for our In-Person CANICROSS RACE! Held at the prestigious Georgia International Horse Park, renowned as the site of The 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, this event is not to be missed!

🏞️ Course Details

• Distance: 5k and 10k course classified as a technical trail running race.
• Terrain: Participants should be prepared for uneven terrain, elevation changes, and natural features such as roots, rocks, and narrow paths.
• Water Station: There will be 1 water / aid station on the course.
• Children: Registered children under 15 will need to run with a registered adult.

🏁 Race Format

• 10k: RACE IS 2 LAPS.
• New Distance: New this year is a SPRINT Distance! (1.25 miles)
• Tri-Hound Crown: Complete all three distances and earn the prestigious Tri-Hound title!
• Team Event: The dog you start with must be the same dog you complete the entire challenge with across all distances.

🐶 Canicross Guidelines

• 2-Dog Requirements: Competitors in the 2-Dog Tri-Hound Crown must race with two dogs in all events.
• CaniX Requirements: Competitors in the CaniX Tri-Hound Crown must race with one dog in all events.
• Drop Policy: If you register in the 2-dog class but drop a dog during the event at any distance, you will still be classified as a 2-dog competitor.
• Bib Changes: You will start with the 10K event. Upon completing the 10K, switch to the corresponding bib for the 5K.

📅 Schedule & Registration

• Packet Pickup: Begins on-site at 6:30 AM along with race day registration.
• Start Times: 10k Canicross Races begin at 7:00 am.
• Cut-off Time: There is a 2:00 PM cutoff for all racers.
• Virtual Option: Can't join us on race day? We’ve got a virtual option for you! Complete the course on your own time and turf.

🏨 Accommodations

Hotel: Book your stay at LA Quinta Conyers with our group rate of just $109 + tax per night. Additional Pet fees are waived for our group! That’s a $25 savings per pet, per night! Booking at this rate is available till 9/14. BOOK HERE

🏕️ Camping Information

Camping is available at GEORGIA INTERNATIONAL HORSE PARK. Please include your camping fee upon registering. Camp fires and grilling are not allowed.

🏆 Awards & Prizes

Awards will be given for various categories and classes, including the Canicross and Dog Friendly classes.

⚠️ Safety & Regulations

No transfers, refunds or deferments allowed. Dogs must be kept on a leash and under owner/handler’s control at all times. For safety, COVID-19 protocols will be followed.
