Race Overview

• Popularity: One of the most popular races in Atlanta, Romp and Stomp 5K kicks off the Cabbagetown Chomp and Stomp Chili Cookoff and Bluegrass Festival.
• Course: This race features a fast, flat course through historic Cabbagetown that is great for first timers or those chasing a PR.
• Participant Perks: All participants receive an awesome T-shirt and a free chili tasting spoon for the festival later that day.

Important Notes

• Strollers and Dogs: If you plan on running with strollers or dogs, or walking, please start behind the rest of the runners.
• Festival Ordinance: Dogs are not allowed at the Chomp and Stomp Festival per City of Atlanta Festival Ordinance.

• Support: Chomp & Stomp supports park improvements for everyone to enjoy. Proceeds create a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors.

• Past Achievements: Funds have built playgrounds, pavilions, and picnic areas, and maintain the Cabbagetown Community Center and Esther Peachy Park.

Event Details and Schedule

• Romp Start Time: 8:00 AM
• Parking: Parking is a challenge, so arrive early! Park at lots on Memorial or in the Agave lot at Boulevard and Memorial Drive.
• Directions: From I-20 take the Boulevard/Zoo Atlanta exit. From I-85 take Freedom Parkway exit.
• Race Start Location: Race start is on Carroll St. in front of Milltown Tavern.

Awards

Awards will be given for Overall Male/Female/Non-Binary, Masters (50+) Male/Female/Non-Binary, and top 3 finishers in each age group (14 & under to 65+).

Cabbagetown Run Club

Join the Cabbagetown Run Club every Thursday at 7 PM in front of Milltown Tavern to preview the streets of Cabbagetown.

Registration Information

This race has sold out the last 21 years. Sign up early for the best price and T-shirt sizing!

• Registration Fees: Starting October 20, if the race hasn’t sold out, registration is $45. From September 15 – October 20, it's $40, and $35 for early birds who register before September 15.

Packet Pick-up

• Thursday, November 5: 6:30-9:00 PM at the Cabbagetown Community Center.
• Friday, November 6: 6:30-9:00 PM at the Cabbagetown Community Center.
• Race Morning: At Milltown Tavern from 7:00-7:45 AM. Note: Only numbers will be handed out at the start line: shirts and packets available after the race.

Team Registration

Create a team with as many runners as you’d like. The team’s three fastest runners will count toward the team score, and the groups with the lowest combined times will take the top spots.
