🏠 About Fisher House
- History: The Tucson Fisher House opened in March 2016 and has served over 800 families since then.
- Purpose: Provides temporary housing for families while their loved ones receive care at VA facilities at no cost.
- Funding: While the Fisher House receives some VA funding, a majority relies on donations.
- Resources: Donations help cover food, toiletries, and comfort items for guests.
🌍 Fisher House Project
- Origins: Started in the early 1990s by Zachary and Elizabeth Fisher, privately funding the first twenty-five houses.
- Current Status: There are currently ninety-four Fisher Houses globally.
- Goal: Aim to reach ONE HUNDRED houses worldwide.
