🏠 About Fisher House

• History: The Tucson Fisher House opened in March 2016 and has served over 800 families since then.
• Purpose: Provides temporary housing for families while their loved ones receive care at VA facilities at no cost.
• Funding: While the Fisher House receives some VA funding, a majority relies on donations.
• Resources: Donations help cover food, toiletries, and comfort items for guests.

🌍 Fisher House Project

• Origins: Started in the early 1990s by Zachary and Elizabeth Fisher, privately funding the first twenty-five houses.
• Current Status: There are currently ninety-four Fisher Houses globally.
• Goal: Aim to reach ONE HUNDRED houses worldwide.
