DUE TO RUNWAY MAINTENANCE THE RACE DATE IS NOW AUGUST 9 AT 9:00 PM. JOIN US FOR A RACE LIKE NO OTHER AS WE SHUT DOWN THE AIRPORT JUST FOR YOU! GET YOUR RUNNING SHOES ON, FLY ALONG THE TAXIWAY AND RUN ON THE AIRSTRIP AT NIGHT! ENJOY THIS UNIQUE VIEW OF THE AIRPORT FROM THE RUNWAY! JOIN FAMILY, FRIENDS AND FELLOW AVIATION-ENTHUSIASTS AS YOU RUN AT KXAV, THE FLATTEST COURSE IN THE REGION!
Register for the Moon Series and receive the extra MOON CHALLENGE Medal for all 3 races! This includes: Fly Me To The Moon (August 9th), Rocket Run 5K (July 4th) and Run to the Moon (July 19th). You can enroll in the Moon City Challenge on any of the three event registration websites and must be enrolled in the Challenge to also obtain the moon series challenge medal. Signing up for races individually will not qualify you to receive the moon series challenge medal.
If you cannot make any of the races for the "In-Person" events, you have the option to participate virtually for one, two or all of them and still receive the Challenge Medal. The Moon City Challenge Medal will be awarded at the 3rd race in the series on August 9.

Wapakoneta/New Knoxville is where Neil Armstrong learned how to fly over these fields in his teenage years. He received his pilot's license when he was only 16 years old. The Neil Armstrong Airport aims to celebrate the past, present and future of aviation with race donations benefiting the Airport's aviation scholarship fund that distributes awards to local students.
