Race Overview

Come join a really fun crew for the 5K RUN FOR THE DONUT on Saturday, February 13, 2027. Have a blast on a professionally chip-timed, flat, out-and-back with a loop 5K course that travels through a beautiful wooded neighborhood. Stay for the awards while you enjoy your coffee, donut and other breakfast items!

• Start Time: 8:00 am for 5K
• Fun Run Dash: Starts approximately 30 minutes after the 5K race start

Course Information

5K RUN FOR THE DONUT IS SANCTIONED BY THE MANASOTA TRACK CLUB AND WILL LIKELY BE IN THE 2027 RACING SERIES. Not an MTC member? You don't have to be to run and enjoy the 5K RUN FOR THE DONUT but there are benefits to being in the club. Click here to find out more or to join

Additional Information

• Costumes: Costumes encouraged, the crazier the better.
• Parking: All parking and indoor bathrooms are at the Sarasota Baptist Church across the street. Port a Potties available at Lakeview Elementary.
• Weather Policy: THIS RACE WILL HAPPEN RAIN OR SHINE. If there are unsafe conditions for runners and volunteers, the race will switch to a virtual race.
• Awards: Awards will be available for two weeks at Molly's Boutique, 1872 Stickney Point Rd starting the Monday after the race if you are unable to stay for the ceremony.

Your Race Registration Includes:

• Race Shirt: MUST REGISTER BY FRIDAY, JANUARY 29th TO BE GUARANTEED A SHIRT IN YOUR SELECTED SIZE! All shirts not claimed by the start of the race will be forfeited.
• Finisher Medal: Special finisher medal for all participants.
• Chip Timing: Accurate chip timing for all runners.
• Awards: Award levels - 6 deep in 17 age categories, Overall awards including male and female Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters and Veteran Grand Masters.

This is a fundraiser for Young Life Sarasota. Young Life is a Christian ministry that reaches out to middle school, high school, and college students in all 50 of the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world.
