The New Bern Autism 5K Run/Walk Fun Day is more than a race—it’s a heartfelt movement for acceptance, connection, and change. Held in the heart of downtown New Bern with the scenic beauty of Union Point Park as our backdrop, this annual event gathers people from all walks of life to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with families affected by autism.

Now in its fifth year, this event is a vibrant celebration of resilience, joy, and community unity. It is a day to uplift the voices of autistic individuals, to honor their journeys, and to walk alongside the parents, siblings, caregivers, and advocates who support them every single day.

• Course: A scenic 5K course along the waterfront with runners, walkers, and teams united for a cause.
• Kids’ Fun Run: A joyful event designed to celebrate the energy and enthusiasm of our youngest supporters.
• Vendor Fair: A Resource & Vendor Fair offering autism-friendly products, services, and community connections.
• Entertainment: Music, dancing, live entertainment, games, giveaways, and food trucks—making this a full Family Fun Day.
