The Van Cortlandt Track Club: Cross Country 5k Summer Series
If you’re looking for a true cross country racing experience, historic Van Cortlandt Park is number one in NYC for a good reason. The classic Tortoise and Hare 5k course will have you punching your way up those hills and flying down the other side. Come have fun in a safe, family friendly atmosphere where you’ll not only be surrounded by lovely people but many experienced racers as well.
Kids Races
- Event: It was such hit last year, we are bringing back the kids races!
- Timing: For the last three races we will have kids races at 7:10pm.
- Registration: Sign up is a must, but racing is free!
Bib Pickup and Race Details
- Pickup Timing: Bib pickup and check in for the 5k begins 6:00pm on race day.
- Race Dates: Races take place every other Thursday night from May 29th to July 30th!
- Race Start: Race start is 7pm.
- Awards: Awards will take place immediately following the race.
Post-Race Activities
- Raffles: Raffles for swag from our archives and gifts from our sponsors post awards so stick around & win!
- Overall Winners: Overall Winners each week will receive a Carrot Cake from Lloyd’s Famous.
- Age Group Winners: Age group winners each week will receive a Carrot Cake Muffin from Lloyd’s Famous.
