Darrell Plank Memorial 5k Walk/ Run

Come join us for a fun, educational day at the firehouse.

Activities

• CPR Class: Engage in a CPR & choking class.
• Children's Fun: Enjoy a bouncy house and water slide for the kids.
• Firefighter Demonstrations: Watch demonstrations from the firefighters on different jobs they perform.
• Food: Food will be provided and this event is free to the public.

Race Information

• Run/Walk: The morning's 5K run/walk will be chip timed.
• Date: The event takes place on May 23, 2026.
• Location: 5497 Mennonite Church Rd, Montezuma, GA.
• Community Spirit: This day is intended to remember and keep alive the memory of Darrell Plank who lost his life on May 23, 2017, in the line of duty serving with the Macon County Fire Department.
