🎉 Lake Area Runners presents 4 for the Fourth!

Event Overview:

• Race Date: Friday, July 4, 2025 @ 7:00 am
• Location: Police Jury Parking Lot @ corner of Lakeshore Drive and Gill Street, 1110 Pithon Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601
• Course: This course is flat and fast, out and back race along the scenic Lakeshore Drive.
• Participation: This event is open to both walkers and runners!

💧 Registration Fees:

• $35: Thursday, March 13, 2025 thru Sunday, June 15, 2025
• $40: Monday, June 16, 2025 thru Wednesday, July 2, 2025
• $45: Thursday, July 3, 2025 and Friday, July 4, 2025 (online only)
• Age-Based Pricing: Registrants 5-9 years old = $5 (shirt not included). Registrants 65 and older = free (shirt not included).

📅 Packet Pickup:

• Thursday, July 3rd: Southern Specialty Products, 615 E. Prien Lake Road, Lake Charles, LA 70601, from 12:30PM - 5:00PM
• Friday, July 4th: CCPJ, 1110 Pithon Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601, from 6:00AM - 6:30AM
• Identification: Registered participants need photo ID. Proxy pickup is allowed for immediate family.
• Look for: the blue Lake Area Runners tent in the parking lot.

🏆 Awards & Prizes:

• Overall: Top male and female will be awarded fireworks.
• Age Group: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place fireworks awards will be given in 10-year age groups.
• Triple Crown Series: Complete three races to win a special prize!
• Overall Winners: Free race entries for all of our 2026 races!

📝 Race Day Schedule:

• 6:00AM: Packet pickup and race day registration opens
• 6:30AM: Packet pickup and race day registration closes
• 6:45AM: Pre-race meeting
• 7:00AM: Race begins

🚗 Parking:

• Available: Calcasieu Parish Police Jury parking lot and Lake Charles Event Center along Lakeshore Drive.
• Restricted: Do not park on Gill Street between Lakeshore Drive and Pithon Street or on Lakeshore Drive.

🙌 Volunteers:

• Date: July 3rd and 4th for packet pickup and event support.
• Registration: Volunteers should register on runsignup.com by June 29th.
