Run for Rangers 5k/10K/Half Marathon

🏃‍♂️ Event Details and Schedule

URGENT NOTICE: The 5k Location and Date have been changed. The 5k will now be on Camp Merrill the same location and date as the half marathon. No longer at Hancock Park on 11-9. The new course will start and finish from the airfield like the half does. Parking will be at the overhang at Camp Merrill and across the street close to the main gate. Participants will not be allowed to drive through the main security gate and onto the base.

🏅 Race Information

• 5K: Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 9:15 a.m. This is a timed event with several age/gender categories, and awards will be made for 1st to 3rd places in each category. Please visit here for further information and to register, or just buy a shirt and support our Ranger Vets.
• 10K: Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. This is a timed event with several age/gender categories, and awards will be made for 1st to 3rd places in each category. • Half Marathon: Saturday, November 16, 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This event uses all the same forestry roads the US Rangers train on. Tough YES, but not too tough for runners capable of covering the 13.1 miles. Parking is abundant, and food and beverage will be available at the on-post service Club, The Overhang, after the event. 💪 Ranger Challenge

Sign up for two races - the 5K OR the 10K on November 16th AND the half marathon on November 16th, for an extra challenge!

Note: Pre-registration strongly requested for planning purposes. Walk-up registrants will not be guaranteed a T-shirt for the event.

🕒 Event Day Registration

• 5K and 10K: From 07:30-08:45 a.m. at the Overhang NCO Club at Camp Merrill.
• Race Start Times: 10K at 9:00 a.m. and 5K at 9:15 a.m. at the Overhang NCO Club at Camp Merrill.
• Half Marathon Registration: From 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the Overhang NCO Club.
• Race Start Time: 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

🏆 Awards

• 5K Awards: Overall Male/Female, Masters Male/Female and Age Groups 1st, 2nd and 3rd place starting at 10 and Under to 60 and Up.
• 10K and Half Marathon Awards: Overall Male/Female, Masters Male/Female and Age Groups 1st, 2nd and 3rd place starting at 14 and Under to 60 and Up.
• Custom Award: Top overall male/female per category are recognized with a Custom Crafted Ranger Plaque.
• T-shirts and Hoodies: Additional purchase options available for long sleeve t-shirts and hoodies.
