💔 Purpose

• Awareness: This 5K Run/Walk has been planned to help raise awareness about depression and its sometimes fatal result… Suicide.
• In Memory: This run/walk is in memory of Scott Hammersmith and those who have died by suicide.
• Community: Come out to walk or run in memory of someone you have lost or to help spread the word so others are not lost.
• Participation: If you are committed to our message, but not quite ready for a 3.1 mile run or walk, we have measured an easy one mile walk at Defiance College.

🌟 Get Involved

• Donations: If you want to help, but can’t participate...simply make a donation in any amount.
• Normalize Discussions: Suicide should not be kept a secret. Depression is a treatable illness.
• Statistics: Depressive illnesses account for more than 90 percent of all suicide deaths.
• Join Us: Please come out and let your steps help us raise awareness in our community.
