Race History

• Established: Early 80s
• Significance: One of the oldest road races in the Ohio Valley
• Kickoff Event: Serves as the kickoff to the Scio Street Fair, now known as the Scio Summer Fest
• Event Schedule: Kids 1 mile fun run and Family fun run/walk starts at 6:15 pm, 5k follows at 7:00 pm

Race Course

• Course Type: Out and back course on city streets and local rails-to-trails running path
• Starting Point: Begins beside the lot next to the firehouse where registration takes place
• Course Features: Scenic paved trail with local foliage and a covered bridge
• Course Surface: Paved flat course looping around a neighborhood

Participants

• Included Perks: Every runner/walker receives a t-shirt and goody bag
• Water Stations: Provided twice on the course during out and back
• Volunteer Support: Plenty of volunteers along the course
• Family Fun Run/Walk: Timed event open to everyone, no awards for this distance

• Award Ceremony: Awards will be given at the firehouse after the conclusion of the 5k
