Sheriff's Shuffle 5k Run Walk

Event Overview

We are proud to announce the 2026 Sheriff’s Shuffle 5K Run/Walk — a community event dedicated to raising awareness, supporting survivors, and taking action against domestic violence across Western Massachusetts. 🏃‍♀️💜🏃‍♂️

Partnership and Purpose

• Collaboration: This year, Sheriff Nick Cocchi is once again partnering with the YWCA of Western Massachusetts.
• Impact: Proceeds will directly benefit the YWCA’s life-saving programs, which provide emergency shelter, advocacy, counseling, and critical support services to individuals and families in crisis.
• Urgency: In Massachusetts, over 2,300 victims were served in a single 24-hour period during a 2024 statewide survey.
• Statistics: Nearly 600 additional requests for help went unmet due to limited resources, and 19 domestic violence homicides were recorded in 2023.

Community Impact

• Support: The YWCA of Western Massachusetts answered over 6,500 hotline calls and served nearly 12,000 people through supportive programs in a single year.
• Movement: The Sheriff’s Shuffle has become more than just a race — it’s a movement to honor survivors and improve community safety.
• Contribution: Every sponsorship, registration, and donation helps expand services and raises awareness.
• Support for survivors: The event serves as a reminder that survivors are not alone.

• Location: Ashley Reservoir in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
• Registration: Day-of registration and post-race entertainment will take place at the Holyoke Elks.
