🏃♂️ Poppy Run Overview
A 5k race for veterans organizations in memory of those who fought for our freedom.
🎖️ Race Purpose
- Honoring: Our Nation's Fallen Heroes.
- Founded by: Grady Langenderfer as a tribute to his grandfather's friends who never made it home from Vietnam.
- Proceeds support: Flag City Honor Flight, Fisher House Foundation, and the DAV Disabled American Veterans.
📅 Event Details
- Date: May 24th, 2024.
- Location: Fulton County Fairgrounds, Wauseon, Ohio.
- Schedule: The event will begin with a pre-race Memorial Day ceremony, followed by the 5k run/walk, and a kids' 1/2 mile race to follow.
🥇 Awards
- Overall Male/Female: Awards for overall winners.
- Overall Masters: (40+) receive special awards!
- Age Group Awards: 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85 & older.
- Note: Awards will not be shipped: participants must be present for the awards ceremony.
