For the Love of Running 5K/1K is a heart-warming race that fills your heart with warmth on the Saturday right after Valentine's Day. Let the winding paths of the Dawson High School Campus guide your passion for running while supporting the cherished Dawson Cross Country and Track & Field programs.

• Event Atmosphere: Feel the love in every step as you join fellow enthusiasts, with delightful door prizes and vendors to add to the joy.
• Family Friendly: This event welcomes the entire family to share in the love-filled atmosphere.

🏆 Awards & Recognition

• Winners' Prize: Overall Male and Female winners who are 18 and over (out of high school) will receive $250 for that outstanding achievement!
• Top Finishers: Awards will be given to the top 3 Male and top 3 Female for each age division of the 5K.
• Costume Award: There will be an award for the best Valentine's Day Costume!

📝 Registration Details

• Online Entry Deadline: The Deadline for Online Entry is February 12th and will close at noon.
• Early Bird Fee: 1k $15 (RACE SHIRT GUARANTEED!), 5k $30 (RACE SHIRT GUARANTEED!) before January 27th.
• Late Fee: 1k $20 (RACE SHIRT IS NOT GUARANTEED!), 5k $40 (RACE SHIRT IS NOT GUARANTEED!) after January 27th.

📅 Event Schedule

• Packet Pickup: Friday February 14th at Dawson Bus Drop off lane on the south side of the school (Drive by, no need to get out of your car) from 5:30-7:00pm.
• Race Day Registration: Will close at 7:30am on February 8th.
• Race Location: The Love of Running 5K/1K will be hosted on the south side of Dawson High School between the Gym and Baseball/Softball fields.
• Start Times: 1K will start at 8 am, 5K will start at 8:15 am.

⚠️ Important Notice

In the event of severe weather or lightning, there are no refunds and the registration fee will be considered a donation to the Dawson Cross Country/Track & Field Programs.
