Event Host

The Fort Gibson American Legion and Trail of Honor Flags will host this special event on Memorial Day weekend.

About Trail of Honor Flags Inc.

• Founded: 2019
• Mission: To build on the work of dedicated American Legion volunteers who have placed temporary flags along Highway 62 and Wiley Rd leading to the National Memorial Cemetery.
• Goal: To install 300 flagpoles, each flying a 5x8 American flag.

Participation

• Flag Carrying: Runners will have the option to carry an American flag during the race.
• Registration: You will be asked during registration — simply select “Yes” if you’d like to participate in this meaningful tribute.

Support Our Veterans

By joining this event, you’ll help fund the permanent Trail of Honor while honoring our veterans and active-duty service members as you run through an amazing road lined with flags.

Event Growth

This event has grown every year since 2019, and our goal this year is to reach 500 runners. Whether you’re a returning participant or joining us for the first time, thank you for your support!

• Pre-Sale: $20 for Fun Run & $25 for 5k from Memorial Day to 4th of July
• Fun Run Pricing: $25 from 7/5/2026 to 5/8/2027 & $30 from 5/9/2027 to Race Day
• 5k Pricing: $30 from 7/5/2026 to 5/8/2027 & $35 from 5/9/2027 to Race Day
