Okie Half - Half Marathon & 5k

Race Overview

I:40 Race Service with the help of the Muskogee Running Club and Muskogee Parks & Recreation will host the Okie Half on March 20, 2027. Okie Half 2027 will feature a flat certified course that starts/finishes inside the fully restored "Hanger 1" of the Hatbox Events Park. We can't stress enough the FLATNESS of this course! Also has cool features like going by the historic ROXY Theatre, "Circling Merle" at the Merle Haggard Statute, and going through Muskogee's Depot District. The 5k course is also on the flat track that is USATF Certified and mostly run the loop trail around Hatbox Sports Complex.

Event Highlights

• Giveaway Item: Yet to be determined! Must register by March 8th for guaranteed size.
• 1st Place Mugs: For top runner in every Half Marathon Age Group, 5 year age groups to 80 & Over.
• Finishers Medals: Cast medals for half finishers & first place in each 5k Age Group (wood medals for 2nd & 3rd).
• Food Truck Tacos: BBQ Food Truck Tacos afterwards for Half Runners, and lots of refreshments for 5k Runners.

Packet Pick Up/Late Registration:

The packet pickup will be on Friday evening March 19th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Hatbox Events Center - 630 S 40th Street Muskogee, OK. This is also where the race will start and finish the following morning. You do not have to pick up your packet on Friday, but are greatly encouraged to. They will be available on race day starting at 6:30 am. In-person registration will be available on Friday and Saturday.

Start Times: 7:45 am for the Half, 8:00 am for the 5k

Time Limit: For the half marathon the time limit is 4:15 (Must finish by noon).

Medals & Awards

• Finishers Medals: All the Half Marathoners will get a custom finishers medal!
• Age Group Mugs: For Half Marathon runners that finish 1st in their age group (Every 5 years).
• 5k Age Group Medals: There will be age group medals for the 5k (Every 5 years) -1st Place Cast Medals, 2nd and 3rd Wood Medals.
• Trophies: One of a kind trophies for the top 3 Male and Female overall winners of the half and the 5k.

GIVEAWAY ITEM: 5k runners and Half Marathon Runners will get a guaranteed, yet to be determined giveaway item, if they sign up by March 18th. First come first serve after March 8th.

After Race Food: A Half Marathon entry includes a meal at the finish line from Mother Tucker's BBQ Food Truck. 5k participants and spectators are welcome to purchase a meal. There will also be cold food and drinks provided to 5k and Half participants.
