About Jim Varin
- Dedication: Jim Varin was a dedicated firefighter in Providence for 31 years.
- Impact: Diagnosed with Glioblastoma, he faced a life-changing battle at the age of 52.
- Legacy: Jim expressed a desire to help others affected by Glioblastoma before his passing.
- Purpose: The race aims to fulfill Jim's wish to support those diagnosed with brain or spine cancer.
Mission of The Rhode Island Brain & Spine Tumor Foundation
- Support: Provides comprehensive support for individuals and families diagnosed with brain or spine tumors.
- Education: Offers educational resources, spiritual and financial assistance.
- Research: Assists researchers studying brain and spine tumors.
- Gratitude: Thank you for helping make a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

- Participation: Dogs and strollers are not allowed in the event.
- Bib Pick-Up: Sunday, May 17th - 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM at Deerfield Park.
- QR Code: Please bring your QR code for quick check-in (can be shown on mobile - no need to print).
- Awards: Top 3 Overall Male & Female for both 5k & 10k: 1st Place Age Group Awards for both distances.
