🏃‍♂️ 5K Run/Walk For Reading

Join us for the annual 5K Race on Market Day in Newtown, 10/5/24! Run or walk on the same course, with professional timing provided through Pretzel City Sports. Fruit and water will be provided for racers, as well as t-shirts for the first 100 racers to register. Top male and female racers will receive prizes, and library goodie bags will be available for children ages 13 and under.

The race begins and ends at the Library, where the Market Day activities begin! Food trucks, music, crafters, and activities for children are planned throughout the Market area. The library will have its annual book sale as well.

All 5K and book sale proceeds benefit the Newtown Library Company, a non-profit organization run by community volunteers.

📅 Event details and schedule

Event Schedule and Course Info:
The 5K begins at 9 AM at the Newtown Library Company located at 114 E. Centre Ave., Newtown, PA 18940.

Arrival Info: Registration and t-shirt/bib pickup begins at 8 AM.

Parking: Parking is available at the Northeast corner of Penn and Lincoln. On-street parking is available on North Lincoln Avenue or South Lincoln Avenue. Market Day will be on the South side of Washington Avenue, so some streets may be closed for that activity.

Food/Drink: Water and fruit will be available at the start and end of the race.
