🏅 March For The Fallen Overview

🕊️ Event Purpose

• Honor: Honoring fallen service members who sacrificed for our nation
• Community: For both military and civilian communities
• Time Limit: Complete the course by 6:00pm on event day
• Timing: Manually timed races returning to event roots

🏆 Awards and Events

• Categories: 28- and 14-mile heavy/light marches, 5k run/walk, 28-mile hand cycle, and virtual 5k
• Weight Requirements: Minimum 35lbs for heavy marches, 10lbs for light division to qualify for awards
• Support: Spectators welcome at Community Club, but not along the march route
• Safety: Spectators are encouraged to stay in designated areas for their comfort

🏞️ Course Details

• Terrain: Routes include asphalt, rolling and steep mountain trails
• Elevation: Start at 500.77' and climbs to 1239.43' on Second Mountain
• Challenges: Varied elevations and trail conditions
• Lowest Point: 484.28', within the first mile of the course

📅 Check-in and Bibs

• Bibs: Provided at check-in, must be displayed on the back
• Course Requirement: Bibs are mandatory on all courses
• Consequences: Removal from the course without proper bib
• Packet Pickup: Friday, September 18, 4:30-7:00PM and on event day from 5:30AM

⚠️ Participation Notes

• Registration: Required to participate, donations not mandatory
• Pets: Not permitted, except for licensed working service dogs
• Drones: Personal drones not authorized on the installation
• ID Requirement: Valid ID required to enter Fort Indiantown Gap Base
