March For The Fallen

• Event Type: 14th annual March for the Fallen
• Weather Policy: This event is rain or shine!

🕊️ Purpose of the Event

• Honor: Join military and civilian communities in honoring fallen service members.
• Event Roots: The races will be manually timed.
• Completion Time: Complete the course by 6:00 PM.
• Events Offered: Heavy or light marches (28- and 14-mile), 5k run/walk, and virtual options.

🏆 Awards and Participation

• Awards: Individual race winners will receive awards from the Training Site.
• Heavy March: Rucking with a pack weighing a minimum of 35lbs.
• Light March: No weight requirement.
• Support: Spectators are welcome but cannot be along the march route.

🌄 Course Details

• Route: Varies from asphalt roads to rolling and steep mountain trails.
• Elevation: Start point elevation is 500.77', climbing to 1239.43' on Second Mountain.
• Low Point: 484.28' within the first mile of the course.
• Safety: Bibs must be worn at all times for safety.

📅 Packet Pickup and T-Shirts

• Check-In: Available starting at 5:30 AM at the Community Club on Fisher Ave.
• Walk-Ins: Welcome up to 30 minutes before each race start time.
• T-Shirt Purchase: Can be ordered separately by Sunday, August 27 at 11:59 PM.

🚫 Regulations

• Drones: Personal drones are not authorized on the installation.
• ID Requirement: Valid ID is required to enter Fort Indiantown Gap Base.
