Veterans Day Run/Walk

Event Overview

Join us for the 10th Annual Veterans Day 5K at Soldier's Memorial in Downtown St. Louis on Saturday, November 7, 2026! We welcome wheelchairs, strollers, and dogs on the race path, too!

Event Purpose

• Beneficiary: All proceeds from the event go to St. Patrick Center, a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
• Mission: Their purpose is to transform lives through sustainable housing, employment, and healthcare.
• Impact: Last year, because of the generous contributions of our donors, sponsors, and volunteers, the agency assisted 4,223 clients total, of which 813 were Veterans.
• Success: St. Patrick Center was able to connect 89 veterans with jobs and place 743 veterans and their families in permanent housing.

Support for Veterans

• Programs: Many programs are dedicated solely to helping Veterans and their families get back on their feet.
• Project HERO: In partnership with the Missouri Department of Mental Health and the U.S. Veterans Administration, this program works to improve Veterans' overall quality of life.
• Housing: Project HERO is housed at Freedom Place, a 50-unit apartment complex for male Veterans experiencing homelessness along with substance abuse disorders and/or mental health issues.
• Community Benefit: These efforts help make the St. Louis community a better place for everyone to live and work.

Fundraising Opportunity

As part of our Veterans Day 5K Run/Walk this year, we are including an option for you to participate in our Fundraiser to End Veteran Homelessness. This is your chance to take a stand against Veteran homelessness by having people in your network donate to your fundraiser through your social media channels and websites.
