Race Overview

This is a staple 5k of the Pine Belt area! Come join us on Monday, September 1, 2025 · for the 2026 Ryan Hendley Memorial Labor Your Legs 5k.

Registration Information

• New Option: A New Discounted Race Registration Option for the 5k run or walk. If race shirts are not your thing, then we have a discounted race registration option for you! This discounted rate will only be available until 12:00 p.m. on August 18, 2025.
• Registration Deadline: Online registration closes at 12:00 pm (noon) (CDT) on Friday, Sept 4, 2026.
• Family Fun Run: Begins immediately following the conclusion of the 5k Run/Walk.
• Additional Info: Register by August 18, 2026, to be guaranteed a Race Shirt!

Race Details

• Start Time: The 5k Run/Walk starts at 7:00 a.m. Please arrive at 6:45 a.m. for announcements.
• Course Description: The course is smooth, with a few inclines and declines, running through The Oaks District of the Avenues of Hattiesburg.
• Safety Notice: There will be traffic monitors throughout the course, but please exercise caution.
• Aid Station: One aid station will be available with water and fuel.

Awards

• 5K Run Awards: 1st Male and Female, Overall, Master, and Grandmaster, plus age group awards.
• 5K Walk Awards: Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female.
• Participation: If you entered the 5k Walk, this is for WALKERS ONLY: no running permitted.
• Post-Race: Several door prizes will be given away along with post-race food and refreshments.

Packet Pickup

• Early Pickup: Sunday, September 6, 2026 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at The ARC Southeast MS Gymnasium.
• Race Day Pickup: Starts at 6:00 a.m. on race day, Monday, September 7, 2026.
• Packing Materials: Bibs, race sweatshirts, swag bags, and purchased add-ons will be given out during pickup.
• Alternative Pickup: If you cannot attend, you may have someone pick up your packet for you.
