Kentucky's Fastest Road Mile Race

• Challenge: How fast can you run 1 mile? Join us and find out.
• Benefit: Proceeds will go to the Mason County Animal Shelter.

Start and Finish Locations

• Start Location: Mason County Public Library - Between 209 and 211 East 3rd Street, Maysville, KY 41056 (38.644295, -83.759826)
• Finish Location: Limestone Landing Fountain (38.647467, -83.762252)

Race Course

• Description: This course after a slight upgrade at start should help runners feel as though they are running easy and fast.
• Timing: Chip timing will make times legit.

Awards and Records

• Cash Awards: $150 purse for breaking records in under 40 and 40 and over Masters divisions.
• Records to Beat:
  • Male 39 and under: 4:14.37 - Jed Helker in 2025
  • Male 40 and over: 4:51.00 - Steven Buck in 2025
  • Female 39 and under: 5:00.66 - Lucy Singleton in 2025
  • Female 40 and over: 6:21.85 - Jessica Miller in 2025

Registration Cost

• Pre-Registration: $20 for pre-registered athletes (before 10 pm June 13th)
• Race Day: $30 for race day registration
• T-Shirt: All pre-registered athletes are guaranteed a t-shirt.
• Format: Online registration only (including race day).

Awards

• Overall Awards: Top three overall male and female runners.
• Age Groups: 13 and Under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-70, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 and Over.
• Special Award: Award to the Top First Responder from the Maysville Mason County First Responders.
• First Timers: Awards for First Male and Female who participate with their dog.

Post-Race Activities

• Market: After the race join the fun at the Pickers and Grinners Market in Downtown Maysville.
• Stick Pony Derby: New for 2026 - First Annual Stick Pony Derby at 9:15 am (after the mile).
• Distance: 150 yards of madness. Bring your own pony or borrow one of our 25 loners.
• Cost: $20, with awards for Overall Male and Female (Rider, not pony).

Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup

• Registration: All race day registration will be online. You can register on your computer or on your phone.
• Packet Pickup: Race day packet pick up will take place near the Finish Line at the corner of Limestone and McDonald from 7:30 - 8:45 am on Race Day.
