James Island Connector Run Overview

The James Island Connector Run (JICR) provides one of the most scenic race routes in the Southeast and one of the most challenging courses in the Lowcountry!

• Location: Folly Road & James Island Expressway, Charleston, SC
• Event Types: 8K Run, 5K Run, and 5K Walk
• Start Time: 8:00 AM for all distances, runners and walkers
• Post-Race Festival: Includes a finishers medal and food at the finish line

Awards & Swag

• Awards: Top finisher awards and 3 deep in all age groups, plus a walkers award for the top 3 Male and Female walkers
• Finisher's Medals: All runners and walkers receive finisher's medals
• Shirt Availability: Register early to ensure your preferred shirt size: late registrants may not receive a shirt

Packet Pick Up

• Option 1: Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 11 AM - 6 PM at Fleet Feet Sports (881 Houston Northcutt Blvd., Mt Pleasant)
• Option 2: Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 6:30 AM - 7:50 AM at the race start (base of connector)
• Race Day Cutoff: Packet pick up closes at 7:50 AM to start promptly at 8 AM
• Encouragement: We highly encourage you to pick up your packet on Thursday

Course Information

• Certification: USATF certified OUT AND BACK course that begins and ends on James Island (near Folly Rd.)
• Closure Time: James Island Connector will close by 6 AM and will reopen no later than 12 PM
• Parking Restrictions: City of Charleston prohibits parking at the base of the James Island Connector

NEW FOR 2025: Parking Information

• New Location: Parking has moved to the city lot across from Stoney Field (300 Fishburne St. Charleston)
• Shuttle Service: Shuttles run to the Folly Rd. start/finish line every 20 minutes
• Parking Fee: FREE for runners and walkers: sponsors are offsetting the $10 fee charged by the city
• Parking Placard: Display the placard on your dash received at packet pick up or upon entering the lot

NEW FOR 2025: Shuttle Information

• Shuttle Departures: From the parking lot at Stoney Field (300 Fishburne St., Charleston) approximately every 20 minutes
• Shuttle Schedule: 6 AM, 6:20 AM, 6:40 AM, 7 AM, 7:20 AM, 7:40 AM
• Return Shuttle: Departures back to the parking lot begin at 9 AM, approximately 6-7 minute bus ride
• Alternative Transport: Consider Ride Shares, Uber, Lyft, walking, running, or biking to the start
