🎯 Purpose of the Race

• Founded: The Avondale 5K was created in 2010 to help fund the Charles Webb Center.
• Service: The CWC is a developmental day care operated by the Disabilities Board of Charleston County, serving children with special needs from age 6 weeks to 10 years old.

🌱 Mission of the Charles Webb Center

• Growth: The mission of Charles Webb is to aid in each child’s growth and development through an educational program.
• Self-Esteem: The program focuses on developing each child’s sense of self-esteem.
• Skills: Strengthening each child’s social, language, and preschool skills is a key component.
• Individual Focus: The center focuses on individual strengths to maximize learning across all developmental areas.

💖 Support the Cause

• Proceeds: All of the proceeds from the Avondale 5K race go directly to the Charles Webb Center to pay for classroom equipment, supplies, food, etc.
• Dependency: Without the help of the A5K, Charles Webb would not be able to continue its service.
