🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

It’s the 2nd Annual NEPA Run the River Race — a water-themed 5 Fun Run & Mile Walk!

🎉 Festival Details

This year, NEPA Summer in the City is back in Wilkes-Barre to host their “Day Downtown Festival,” but we know it wouldn’t be a full day without a nice morning run/walk around Kirby Park to get us stretched out for the day's fun!

💧 Course Support

• Volunteers: Volunteers will line the course armed with water to cool you off during the course and keep with the water-theme of our race!
• T-Shirt Options: Don’t want to get wet? No worries… just choose the right color shirt when registering. Blue means water and white means no water!

🏅 Awards and Fun Run

• Medals: Medals will be given for the fastest in every age-group and to the top three overall male and female finishers.
• Fun Run Option: 1.25 mile Fun Run option is also available to kids 12 and under! Or, for the same distance, anyone can participate in the walk.

🤝 Team Competition

NEW this year is our TEAM COMPETITION! Sponsors, businesses, running clubs, XC teams — this is for you!!! When registering, you can create OR join an existing team. A team trophy (and bragging rights of course) will be awarded to the team with the fastest average time amongst their top five finishers.

💵 Registration/Pricing

• $25.00: before July 7th
• $30.00: July 7th to August 2nd
• $35.00: on August 2nd (morning of)
