Event Overview
Come join us at the Genesee County Park & Forest Sunday on October 4, 2026 for the 14th annual Run for the ACORNS 5K run/walk or 10K run.
Course Details
- Terrain: The courses are on single and double track trails through the forest, along a creek and up and down rolling hills.
- Elevation: An estimated 100 feet of climb in the 10K loop.
- Trail Safety: Trails are very wide and easy to negotiate, with rocks and roots clearly marked for safety.
- Scenic Route: The courses start on asphalt and then lead into the woods for a truly beautiful run through the countryside.
Charity Support
- Beneficiary: All proceeds benefit ACORNS, a non-profit 501(c)(3) "friends of the park" group.
- Mission: ACORNS supports the Genesee County parks by connecting people with nature through outdoor learning, education, and fun.
- Additional Support: ACORNS will donate a portion of the proceeds to support breast cancer research.
