🏃♂️ What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk?
The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001, after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! - Date: September 12, 2026
- Location: 1250 Eastover Drive, Jackson, MS
- Commemorative Coin: All participants will receive a commemorative finisher coin for the 5th anniversary of the event.
- Community Focus: Excited to bring together the community to honor first responders, remember 9/11, and raise funds for Tunnel to Towers programs.
📏 How far is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?
This is a 5K (3.1 miles) walk or run event. Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.
📦 Packet Pickup Information
- Race Day: Packet pickup will be available on race day starting at 7am.
- Early Pickup: We may also hold early packet pickup on Friday, September 11th. Location TBD, but most likely at The District.
- Registration: Yes, you can register in person on the day of the run starting at 7 am.
- Late Fee: $5 late registration fee applies for all registrants except for First Responders.
👕 T-Shirt Policy
- Guarantee: Registration before August 24th guarantees a shirt.
- After August 24th: Shirts are not guaranteed and will be available as supplies last.
- Display: Please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
- Running Without Bib: Those who run without a bib will be asked to leave the course.
🏆 Awards and Recognition
- Event Purpose: Awards are to honor first responders, firefighters, police, and military.
- Experience: This event is intended to be an experience and much more than just a run.
- Timing: The event is timed.
- Water Available: Yes, a water station will be available along the route and at the start/finish line.
🎒 Event Guidelines
- Permitted Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also permitted.
- Personal Items: Please leave all personal items and valuables in your vehicle.
- Fundraising: Registration fees do not count toward the fundraising goal.
- Packet Pickup: Authorized persons may pick up packets with a copy of your registration receipt.

- After Start: Donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event on the race registration website.
