âšī¸ What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk?
Created to honor Stephen Siller, a NYC firefighter who lost his life on 9/11. Honor those who lost their lives on 9/11 and support first responders and military. Information on the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation: t2t.org. Inaugural event in the Outer Banks to honor first responders and raise funds.
đââī¸ How far is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?
This is a 5K (3.1 miles) walk or run event open to all.
đĻ Where can I pick up my packet?
Pickup location to be announced.
đ Can I register on the day of the run?
Registration available on race day with a $5 additional fee. Early registration recommended to secure T-shirts.
đ Do I have to wear my bib number?
Bib must be displayed on the front of the outermost garment. Runners without bibs will be asked to leave the course.
đ Will there be awards for running?
Awards available and event will be timed. Awards based on firefighters, police, or military in gear like Siller.
đ§ Will water be available?
Water stations along the route and at the start/finish line.
đ What can I bring to the event?
Strollers, wheelchairs, turnout gear, and military backpacks permitted. All personal items should be securely stored at the owner's risk.
