Event Overview

This is a fun and unique local trail running event with combined wide trails and single-track trails for all skill levels.

Trail Event Options

• 5K Trail Walk/Run: 1 lap on wide gravel and grass trails.
• 10K Trail Run: 1 lap on wide grass gravel along with dirt single track, no major water crossings.
• Half Marathon Trail Run: 2 laps (10K+ course), same as the 10K course, no major water crossings.
• Support: All monies raised will go to support local youth/Boy Scout development activities.

Event Details

• Dog and Stroller Policy: Only the 5K walk/run permits dogs and strollers.
• Cancellation Policy: Cancellations could occur due to government agency restrictions or extreme weather conditions.
• Health Guidelines: We will follow all Pennsylvania State Government restrictions and guidelines.
• Post-Race Breakfast: Waffles, sausage, and possibly bacon will be served if permitted by health regulations.

Event Timing and Start

• Start Time: All events will start at 7:30 AM with a soft or rolling start.
• Bibs: Radio Frequency chipped, read at the start.
• Finish Line: Video will record the finish, and RF chips will be used to calculate results.
• Start Window: Events will be started within a 5-minute window: participants cannot change events on race day.

Course Information

• 5K Course: Unflagged, one lap around the reservoir. Keep water to the intended side.
• 10K & Half Marathon Course: Fully flagged, caution tape will be present to guide participants.
• Course Tear-Down: To start at 11:30 AM per North East Borough regulations.
• Water Stations: Self-serve with manned refills, and will help manage runners’ assistance needs.

Registration Information

• Online Registration: Registration/payments must be completed online via Runsign-up.
• On-Site Registration: Some bibs available for same-day registration: cash only unless registering via phone.
• Refund Policy: No refunds will be given if race is canceled due to uncontrollable circumstances.
• Participation Agreement: By signing up, participants understand the conditions of the event.
