K-State Homecoming Philanthropy 5K and Virtual 5K Run/Walk

K-Staters continue a great tradition of giving back to our community: proceeds for this year's virtual 5K run/walk will benefit Be Able. Be Able is a community resource that exists to engage with those in adversity by creating connections, cultivating skills, and opening doors of opportunity. 💵 COST

• Registration Fee: $30.00
• Discount: $5.00 discount offered to K-State Alumni Association members and current K-State students
• Note: The discount page is 3 screens into registration, and you will be asked to provide your Alumni Association member number, or your K-State eID.
• T-shirt Guarantee: T-shirt is guaranteed if registered by September 17 at 12 p.m.

📅 IN-PERSON INFORMATION

The in-person 5K will begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5 at the K-State Alumni Center. Prizes are awarded for first through third in four categories:

• Categories: Non-student male, non-student female, male student, and female student.
• Participation: All students participating in the group competition must be in-person.
• Packet Pickup: Non-student and students (not in a group) can pick up your race packet on Friday, Oct. 3 from 2-5 p.m. or on Sunday from 8-8:30 a.m. before the race, both at the K-State Alumni Center.

🌐 VIRTUAL INFORMATION

The virtual 5K is open to non-students and students (excluding groups) and must be registered by 9 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5. You can register through this site or call the K-State Alumni Association at 785-532-6260.

• Run Method: Enjoy a 3.1-mile walk, jog, or run at a place, pace, and time of your choosing between Sunday, Sept. 28 through noon on Sunday, Oct. 5, and share your results.
• Results: We will compile virtual results separate from the results of the in-person race. There are no prizes for the virtual run/walk.
• Results Submission: Don't forget to enter your race time here by noon on Oct. 5.
• Packet Shipping: All virtual registrations paying for shipping will be mailed the week of September 29. If you choose not to have your packet shipped, you must pick up your packet on Friday, Oct. 3 from 2-5 p.m. or the morning of the race, both from the K-State Alumni Center.
