Eligibility

• Members Only: This is a free event for Taconic members ONLY.
• Branded Merchandise: Taconic shirts and pint glasses will be given away while supplies last.
• Electronics Policy: No electronics are allowed: this includes iPhones, GPS devices, and traditional running watches.
• Pace Guessing: Participants must guess their pace before the race.

Race Details

• Distance: Participants will run approximately 2.5 miles.
• Winning Criteria: The runner who gets closest to their guessed time wins.
• Awards: The winner will receive praise and admiration: it is a gender-neutral race.
• Post-Race Activities: There will be a club meeting with food and beverages available for those of legal drinking age.

Timing and Scoring

• Chip Timing: The race will utilize chip timing to ensure accurate results.
• Scoring Method: Participants will be scored on net time (not gun time).
• Stress Management: Chip timing is implemented to reduce stress during the event.
