What is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?
Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001.
Mission: Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices.

Community: This will be the 6th year in Bethel, bringing together the community to honor first responders, remember 9/11, and raise funds.
How far is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?
Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles) event.
Participation: Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.
Where can I pick up my packet?
Saturday: June 21st from 6pm to 8pm at Stony Hill Firehouse, 59 Stony Hill Rd., Bethel CT.
Sunday: Onsite at the event in the Bethel High School Football Field.
Can I register the day of the run?
Registration: Yes, it will be open until the start of the run.
Shirt Availability: We may not have a shirt for you and we do not guarantee sizes for late registrants.
When does online registration close?
Registration: Open until the start of the run.
Is there parking available?
Parking: Yes, there is plenty of parking at Bethel High School.
Do I have to wear my bib number?
Bib Requirement: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
Course Policy: Participants without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be allowed to finish.
Is this a timed race?
Timing: Yes, this will be a timed race.
I am a fast runner. Can I get a front-line position?
Front Corral: Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minutes/mile will be seeded in the front corral (arrive early).
Will there be awards for running?
Awards: Yes, awards are based on firefighters, police or military running in gear.
Experience: This event is intended to be an experience and much more than a run.
Are there race T-shirts?
T-shirts: Yes, everyone who registers by 6/10 is guaranteed a race t-shirt.
Will water be available?
Water Stations: Yes, a water station will be available along the route and at the square.
What can you bring to the event?
Permitted Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also allowed.
Personal Items: Leave all personal items and valuables in your vehicle: items stored at owner’s risk.
Does my registration fee count towards my fundraising goal?
Fundraising: Your registration fee does not count toward the fundraising goal.
Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
Packet Pickup: Yes, they must present a copy of your registration receipt.
Can I still donate to a team and/or individual after the start of the race?
Donations: Yes, donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event.
