Seattle Kraken 5K

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The Seattle Kraken 5K presented by Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) will take place Saturday October 3rd at Green Lake Park in Seattle. Proceeds from the event benefit the Kraken Hockey Fights Cancer Fund. This 5K fun run/walk will help kick off the start of the 2026 – 2027 Seattle Kraken Season. Everett Fitzhugh will host the festivities which will feature members of our broadcast team, Buoy, and other Kraken special guests. Participants will enjoy a unique Seattle Kraken race event and it is designed for everyone to enjoy. Whether you run or walk, join us and show your support for the Seattle Kraken and the Kraken Hockey Fights Cancer Fund at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health!

• Reduced Pricing: Reduced pricing for kids up to age 18.

• Pre-Race Packet Pickup: Wednesday, September 30 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm at Super Jock and Jill Greenlake at 7210 E. Greenlake Drive N Seattle, WA 98115
• Pre-Race Packet Pickup: Thursday, October 1 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm at Brooks Trailhead at 3400 Stone Way, Seattle, WA 98103
• Pre-Race Packet Pickup: Friday, October 2 from 8:00am - 7:00pm at Kraken Community Iceplex at 10601 5th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125
• Race Day Schedule: October 3 at 8:00am - Registration and packet pickup opens

🏅 Race Day Agenda

• 8:30am: Costume contest
• 9:00am: Kids Dash
• 9:30am: 5K start - Wave 1 - under 8:00 minute per mile pace
• 10:30am: Awards

🍺 Post-Race Activities

• 10:00am: Beer Garden Opens
• 1:00pm: Beer garden closes

💻 Virtual Participation

Sign up for the virtual event to join us from your neighborhood. Virtual packets will include a race bib, event shirt and finisher's medal that will be sent to your home. Submit your photos and results to be a part of the official finisher's list. Virtual registration ends September 15th.
