🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

This race will honor the memory and legacy of Greg Deaton. Greg was a pastor with New Salem Baptist Church and the camp director for the Laurel River Baptist Association. Greg's legacy reaches well beyond those two positions. He wore many hats and was many things to people far and wide. Greg loved the Laurel Lake Baptist Camp and what it stood for. He loved telling people about Jesus. The goal of this race is to honor Greg while ultimately glorifying God and promoting & benefiting the camp that he loved so dearly. Please join us for a time of remembrance, fun, and fellowship!

👦 Kids Participation

This is not our first race at the camp, but it has been a minute since we've conducted a race. We first did this race back in 2020 & 2021 to help the camp get through COVID. We are glad to be able to come back together to glorify our Lord and bring attention to this wonderful place that we call church camp. There will once again be a road race and a trail race. There will also be a kids fun run. Kids do not have to run or walk if they don't want to.

• Child Care: Child care will be available.
• Activities: Volunteers will have fun activities prepared for your children while you are running your race.
• T-shirts: All registrants will receive t-shirts while supplies last.
• Awards: Awards will be given out to top place finishers.
