🏃♂️ Mending Minds 5K and Fun Walk
The Mending Minds 5K and Fun Walk is to provide funding to further the mission of the Parenting for the Present Foundation. The Foundation was formed in 2020 to help create a healthier North Texas by providing high-quality mental health and educational services to underserved areas in our community. Thanks to our generous donors, last year’s Mending Minds 5K was a tremendous success. As we look ahead to October 4, 2025, we are raising our goals once again to expand our reach and impact even more children and families in need.
💼 Community Impact
- Support Provided: Over the past year, our crisis team responded swiftly to the deadly floods in Central Texas, providing more than 150 hours of direct and indirect clinical support to children, parents, and the broader community.
- Generosity Matters: In the wake of such tragedy, the care we were able to offer was only possible because of your generosity.
📚 Partnerships and Services
- Collaborations: We also continue our vital work with The King’s Academy and St. Philip’s School and Community Center—both located in South Dallas.
- Empowering Educators: Through psychoeducational evaluations, therapeutic services, and teacher training, our clinicians have empowered faculty and families to understand and respond to their students' unique needs.
- Targeted Interventions: These evaluations have led to targeted interventions that are making a real difference in the classroom and at home.
- Complex Challenges: Many of these cases are complex, reflecting not only learning challenges but also trauma and difficult living conditions.
