Stennis Space Center Marathon | Half Marathon | 5K

Event Details

• Date: Saturday, November 28, 2026
• Time: 8 a.m. start for all races

The Course

• Scenic Route: The course is a beautiful, picturesque 26.2 mile run around the perimeter of the Space Center.
• Surface: Run on paved roads through lovely wooded areas where wildlife sightings are frequent.
• Conditions: The course is flat, fast, and PR friendly, with usual temperatures in the upper 50’s at the start and lower 70’s by the finish.
• Aid Stations: Stennis Running Club aid stations approximately every 2 miles providing water, Gatorade, bananas, and port-o-lets.

Race Certification

• Sanctioned: This event is sanctioned by both Road Runners Club of America and U.S.A.T.F.
• Certification: All 3 courses are certified: Marathon is a Boston Marathon Qualifier.
• Restrictions: No walkers in the marathon, please. (7 hr time limit, 18 years of age minimum.)

Registration Information

• No Day Of Race Registration: Package pickup available on race day at the Cypress House near start line.
• Shirts: Colorful long sleeve tee shirts to all participants.
• Pre-Race Packet Pickup: Available from 12-6 p.m. Friday, November 27, at the Mississippi Welcome Center.
• Registration Fees:
  • Marathon: $50 Pre-entry thru Nov. 22, $55 Late Nov. 23-27 (7 Hour Time Limit)
  • Half Marathon: $45 Pre-entry thru Nov. 22, $50 Late Nov. 23-27
  • 5K Race: $30 Pre-entry thru Nov. 22, $35 Late Nov. 23-27

• Overall Awards: Custom plaques for Overall, Master, Grand Master, & Senior Master winners (Male & Female).
• Race Walker Awards: 1st (3) race walkers in the Half Marathon and 5K. (Male & Female)
• Wheelchair Marathon: Custom plaques to top three finishers.
• Finishers Medallion: Custom designed medallion to all marathon and half marathon finishers.

• Awards: Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K will be awarded male & female three deep (Must be Over 18 for Marathon).

• Text Results: Results by Text and/or Email Upon Finishing Your Race available during online registration.

Post Race Refreshment

• Refreshments: All participants will be served delicious red beans and rice (Brooklyn's Flavor) along with cold beer, soft drinks, sports drink, and fruit.

Security

• Arrival Time: Allow up to 15 minutes extra time entering Main security gate on race morning.
• ID Requirements: You must have a Real ID or Passport & proof of auto insurance ready.
• Checkpoints: All drivers and adult passengers must present a Real ID on race morning. Arrive early to expect possible delays for ID checks.
• Acceptable ID: Include state issued Real ID driver’s license, Federal employee badges, Passports, and Military ID Cards.
