Alameda Island Running Festival

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Date: September 21, 2025
• Location: 2501 Monarch St, Alameda, CA
• Event: The Island Running Festival is back to a single day of racing with a distance for everyone!
• Expo: The entire festival will take place at Faction with the Health and Wellness expo presented by Alameda Health Systems inside the old hanger.

📦 Race Weekend Packet Pick Up

• Thursday and Friday: September 18th and 19th at Lauren's Closet, 1420 Park St, Alameda, CA 94501.
• Saturday: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Race Start/Finish Expo, 2501 Monarch St, Alameda Point - Faction Brewery.
• Sunday: 6:30 AM - 8:00 AM at Race Start/Finish Expo, 2501 Monarch St. Alameda Point - Faction Brewery.

🗓️ Race Events and Schedule

• Race Day: Sunday
• Half Marathon: Starts at 7:30 AM
• 10K: Starts at 8:00 AM
• 5K Presented by Penumbra: Starts at 8:15 AM

⏱️ Race Timing and Restrictions

• Timing: The Island Running Festival is a chip-timed event.
• Participation: Participants can run, jog, or walk the entire course.
• Strollers: Jogging strollers are permitted but should start at the back of the pack.
• Pets: No dogs allowed on the course or finish line for safety reasons.

💧 Medical and Water Stops

• Medical Team: A dedicated paramedics team will be on-site to assist with medical needs.
• Water Stops: Refer to maps page for additional information.
• Half: Water stations at Mile 3.5, 7, 9, & 10.5.
• 10K: Water stations at Mile 2.5 & 4.5.
