2501 Monarch St, Alameda CA
Sunday, September 20th, 2026
We are back for another year of racing with our start and end at Faction Brewery. The race start and finish will be right outside, and the Health and Wellness expo presented by Alameda Health Systems will be inside the old hanger.
As with all of our events, a portion of our registrations will be donated to our Beneficiary Alameda Education Foundation. You can read more about them from our direct links below:
The Island Running Festival is a chip-timed event. Participants can run, jog or walk the entire course. Jogging strollers are permitted but are asked to start in the back of the pack. Wheelchair athletes are permitted but due to safety concerns and street closure restrictions cannot travel faster than the fastest runner. No bikes, scooters, skateboards or other wheeled vehicles are allowed. Dogs are not allowed on our race courses.
We will provide bike parking for those of you that prefer to bike to the event. See the race website for more details.
For more detail about the individual events, visit our website.
We will have a dedicated paramedics team on site and available to help assess your race day medical needs and administer acute first aid when necessary. A medical station will be located near the finish line and team members will be roaming the course.
We can always use volunteers and it takes the support of our community and friends to make these events successful. If you are interested in learning more, visit our website and volunteer support page or reach out to info@outfrontendurance.com.
