On Your Left Fitness and Marana Parks and Recreation want to help you bring in the new year with a little sweetness -- Egg Nog! Finish out 2025 with one final run/walk and after, chug some egg nog to celebrate the start of a brand new year! The start/finish line will host community activities for all ages from 7:00a until 11:00a.

🏃‍♀️ The Course

• Choose Your Distance: 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon!
• Route Details: Out-and-back routes along the scenic Santa Cruz River path.
• Refueling Stations: Located at start/finish line, 5K turnaround, 10K turnaround, and Half Marathon turnaround.
• Course Marking: Entirely on the shared-use path with well-marked triangle ground signs.

Half Marathon Cutoff ~ 3 hours 15 minutes (USATF Certified: AZ25025JOE)
10K Cutoff ~ 2 hours (USATF Certified: AZ25026JOE)
5K Cutoff ~ 1 hour (USATF Certified: AZ25027JOE)

• Online Registration: Register online on race day until 7:45 a.m.
• Registration Method: PLEASE USE YOUR HOME COMPUTER OR CELL PHONE TO REGISTER. NO PAPER registration on race day.
• Price Increase: Price increased on race day to $40.

⏰ Race Day Schedule

• 7:00 am: Check-in Starts (please allow at least 15 minutes before your start time to retrieve your packet)
• 8:00 am: Half Marathon Start (runners only)
• 8:15 am: 10K Start (runners/walkers)
• 8:20 am: 5K Start (runners/walkers)
• 9:20 am: Free Kids Fun Run

Packet Pickup

You have two opportunities to pick up your packet:

• First Opportunity: Monday 12/29, 4:00-6:00pm at the Marana Aquatics and Recreation Center (MARC) (13455 N Marana Main St, Marana, AZ 85653)
• Second Opportunity: Race day starting at 7:00 a.m. at the race venue

🥇 The New Year’s Eve details

• Custom Bibs: All registrations include a custom race bib and a custom online finisher's certificate.
• Finisher Medal: All participants registered will receive a finisher medal!
• Community Activities: Themed face painting, photo booth, and roll-A-Snowman crafts.
• Raffle: Three Fitness-themed prize packs will be raffled off for each race. Included with Reg.

🏅 CHEERS CHALLENGE

Celebrate the season with double the fun and earn a unique one-of-a-kind medal! Join Marana Parks and Recreation on New Year’s Eve for the Egg Nog Jog, then "run it back" on New Year’s Day at Oro Valley's Hot Cocoa 5K.

☕ Hot Cocoa 5K Details

• Date: Wednesday, January 1, 2025
• Location: Steam Pump Ranch, 10901 N Oracle Road, Oro Valley, AZ 85737

⏲️ Schedule:

• 9:00 AM: Registration / Packet Pickup
• 11:25 AM: Race Start

🔑 How it works:

Participants in the Egg Nog Jog must bring their race bib to the Hot Cocoa 5K to complete the challenge and claim their exclusive Cheers Challenge finisher medal.

Race-Day Registration: You can register online on race day until 7:45 a.m. PLEASE USE YOUR HOME COMPUTER OR CELL PHONE TO REGISTER. There will be NO PAPER registration on race day. Price increased on race day to $40.

📱 RaceJoy App

The RaceJoy app will be available for ALL distances. If you want to use it to receive cheers and directions on your run, or if your family and friends want to track you on race day. Results will be posted live on the event website, and you can sign up for text messaging.

Before you run/walk, consider downloading and using the RaceJoy App. On your event day, turn on RaceJoy, pick your route distance, hit start. When you're done, hit stop and save your results.

The series includes five unique, fun, and challenging race events. Races are designed either as a trail race or road race each containing unique elements like mascots, community activities, or race course swag.
