2025 Louisiana Watermelon Festival 5k

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The 2025 Louisiana Watermelon Festival 5k event offers a great challenge to local runners and walkers. This course is a fast first mile downhill followed by what we like to affectionately call Watermelon Mountain at mile 2.

💰 Charity Beneficiary

• Proceeds: This year, proceeds from the event will go to Willpower Foundation, Inc.
• About: This is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers in Northeast Louisiana.
• Support: They host events to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

🍉 Finish Line Treat

To top it all off, at the end of the race, there will be slices of locally grown Louisiana Watermelon for all finishers to enjoy.

👕 Race Entry Details

• T-shirt: Your race entry will include this year's race t-shirt guaranteed for online registration until July 18th, 2025.
• Registration: Race day registration begins at 6:30 AM in the parking lot in front of the Farmerville First Baptist Church.
• Location: 403 N. Main St., Farmerville, LA 71241.
• Race Start Time: Race begins at 7:30 AM.

Awards will be given for the following Age groups:

• Categories: Male and Female
• Top Awards: 1st Overall, 1st Overall Masters
• Medals: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place
• Age Groups: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over

📅 Registration Information

• Online Registration Closes: July 25th at 7 PM.
• Race Day Registration Fee: $40.
• Rule: Roller blades and skates are prohibited on the racecourse.
