🎉 Event Details

• Race Description: Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Dash & Bash: Supporting Pediatric Trauma Services at UF Health, will be on May 17th, 2025 from 8am-12pm at the University of Florida.
• Race Route: This event will comprise of a 5K race around the University of Florida, passing by UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, and a post-race “bash.”
• Community Engagement: Along the race route, partners and community members will be engaging with you through “cheer zones.”
• Post-Race Bash: In conjunction with the Pediatric Trauma Injury Prevention & Outreach team, we will be celebrating National Trauma Awareness Month at the post-race “bash.”

🗓️ Day of Event Schedule

• 7:00 a.m. - Registration & Pre-Registrations Opens
• 7:30 a.m. - Warm-up led by D1 Training Gainesville
• 7:45 a.m. - Pre-Race Remarks
• 8:00 a.m. – 5K Race Start & Bash Begins

🏅 Awards and T-shirts

• Finisher Medal and T-shirt: All participants will receive a finisher medal and t-shirt if they register by May 1.
• Award Categories: Awards will be provided to the top male, female, and non-binary individuals in various age groups.
• T-shirt Guarantee: Shirts are guaranteed for all pre-registered participants before May 1st.
• Sizes Limited: Shirts not guaranteed for those registering after May 1st.

📦 Packet Pick-Up

• Location: UF Health Professional Park - 3300 SW Williston Rd. Gainesville, FL 32608 (Room B116).
• Pick-Up Days: Thursday (5/15/2025) from 10:30am-5:30pm OR Friday (5/16/2025) from 1:30pm-5:30pm.
• Race Day Pick-Up: If you are unable to come ahead of the race day, you can pick-up day of starting at 7am.
• Registration on Race Day: Packet pickup will occur on race day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.

🚗 Parking Information

• Availability: Parking is plentiful at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center parking lot and garage.
• Start/End Location: The race starts and ends at the same location.

⏱️ Timing & Scoring

• Chip Timing: Race will be timed with chip-timing for accurate results.
• Results: Results will be live on the race registration website upon finish of the race.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

• Course Length: The 5K is 3.1 miles with uphill/downhill components.
• Timing Chips: Each individual competing in the 5K is required to use the race chip provided. Official times will not be recorded without a chip.
• T-shirt Eligibility: Only pre-registered runners that register by May 1st are guaranteed a free race t-shirt.
• Medical Assistance: Qualified emergency medical professionals are available to provide assistance at the start/finish lines.
